So what else is new.  The Democrats, who always talk of bipartisanship, have left out of the discussion and draft of the new immigration bill any of the opposing republican voices, except of course that of McCain, who along with Kennedy drafted last years bill.   McCain ought to switch sides anyway.   But they did invite some very special groups with direct lobbying interests in any immigration reform.  The Essential Worker Immigration Coalition (EWIC) and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce,  the American Civil Liberties Union, the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council of La Raza and the Service Employees International Union were all invited to participate.  They are called "key stakeholders", to discuss workplace-enforcement provisions. 

You always hear the liberals and Democrats, one and the same, talk of mainstream America.  Do these groups represent Mainstream America?   I think not.  definitely not.  absolutely not mainstream America.

Congress is to soon begin the so called debate on immigration reform, and the current temperature is for an all out amnesty for the 12 million, plus or, plus one more million to the mix of illegal immigrants living scott free in these Sates.  Well, most do work the jobs Americans won't, at least that is what is being told to us Americans to get us to go along with the amnesty pitch.  No other choice.  They can not be all rounded up and bused back to wherever, because they don't know where they all are.  Even New Orleans does not have enough idle buses, that could be used, but won't be, because nobody knows why. 

The Tucson Weekly has an excellent article about the heavily trafficked cross border route that has been in use for a number of years as evidenced in the amount of trash left along the way.  Pictures are worth a thousand words, so I'll save all my wordiness while you read and digest the pictures included with this article.

Another case with lots and lots of unanswered questions.  "Investigators had no plans to bring charges against Texas Sheriff's Deputy Gilmer Hernandez until the Mexican government intervened and demanded it, the officer's supervisor told WND."  The story is that Deputy "Hernandez stopped a van full of illegals for running a stop sign April 14, 2005, in Rocksprings. The driver attempted to run over Hernandez, prompting the officer to fire his weapon at the rear tires. A bullet fragment hit a Mexican woman in the mouth, cutting her lip and breaking two teeth." 

She was an illegal alien in the country illegally.

The deputy is in jail waiting sentencing.

Did the Mexican officials intervene in this case?  Did our FBI and Homeland Security people cave in to the demands of the Mexican officials?  What think you?  If this is true, and if the truth is EVER let out, then our officials should be removed from office and jailed for conspiracy.  Conspiracy with a foreign country to convict American citizens.

What is it that these activists do not understand about Illegal aliens being illegally in this country?  Now they  want to close down the detention facilities that detain those who have crossed our border without an invitation, without the necessary paperwork as required by law.  

Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, as reported by AP ,would prefer that they be released until the deportation hearings.  "What hits you the hardest in there is that it's a prison. In Hutto, it's a prison," said Michelle Brane, detention and asylum project director for Women's Commission for Refugee Women and Children.  Well, duh.  Yes, it is a type of prison, a detention center to hold them because they have all broken our laws.  Are they granted the opportunity to post bail?  No, they are a security risk, as past history has recorded that the multitude do not return voluntarily for the detention hearings.  This failed policy of release until has proved to be the cause of the huge numbers hiding in fear throughout the country now. They cannot be trusted to return.  

So take your complaints to the other side of the border, to the Mexican government, and demand that they do something to their economy, so that these people have opportunities for a decent life in their own country, and will not see America as their only choice for the good life.   Millions could be saved the risk, and then we could shut down these facilities, except for the hardened criminals.

Another incidence where Political Correctness goes, well what else can one say but,  it goes the way of tyranny.   Tyranny is oppressive power, coercion.   Tyranny seeks to oppress people, to bring the people under a certain set of standards that holds people back, keeps them in line with a certain set of rules of behavior and thought in obedience to the dictators demands.  Anything contrary to that is oppressed.   PC is the dictator, and you better get in line.  A brave new world.  Newspeak.  Tyranny is the opposite of grace, which means enabling power.

It is also about money.  The NCAA will not allow after season tournaments at schools who have not rid themselves of Indian 'mascots'.  Money to the schools.  Without the post season events, the school will miss the money generated by the onslaught of fans into town and all that stuff.   It's all about money when CAIR and Rainbow Push threaten to sue a school for failing to fall in line to their demands for equal time and/or equal results.  The schools cave because of the money it will cost to defend themselves.  Principles have gone down the drain.  Honor has gone down the drain.  Truth has been flushed through the drain pipes for so long that none is recognized any more, nor welcome. 

PC is the new religion of liberals.  Somewhere, somehow, this has to stop. The time is now.

Open debate about the Iraq surge strategy is not what Nancy the pansy really desires.  To the Democrats a debate means they speak out for months criticizing the war, with the media taking notes, while the rest sit and nod in disbelief, and get 10 minutes to respond.  To the Democrats, there is no debate needed as they are right, they know it, and you should too, because they are the sensitive ones who have all this superior understanding of the feelings of moms and dads who have lost their offspring in this immoral war.  Just ask Cindy.  The rest of us are nothing but war mongers killing innocent babies and torturing innocent insurgents and freedom fighters. 
So, Pelosi calls the president and complains about the remark that VP Cheny made in Tokoyo.  Pelosi, who said she could not reach the president, said Cheney's comments wrongly questioned critics' patriotism and ignored Bush's call for openness on Iraq strategy    Cheny is right.  Nancy, you have ignored openness.

"You cannot say as the president of the United States,'I welcome disagreement in a time of war,' and then have the vice president of the United States go out of the country and mischaracterize a position of the speaker of the House and in a manner that says that person in that position of authority is acting against the national security of our country,"   Why not?  Listen up Nancy Pelosi, you are acting against the best interest of the security of the country.  You don't understand because you refuse to acknowledge the evil intentions of the radical Islamics, and refuse to see and hear the millions of other voices crying out in the wilderness for the United States to finish the mission, that even you Nancy supported the mission at it's beginnings. 

Nancy will not suggest that since this war is such a hot topic that perhaps a real honest open debate with equal time would be the best platform to air the differences before the American people.  Here is an idea Nancy.   Suggest that a debate, something like the presidential debates, be held for several nights in a row on national TV for all of America to see.  Nancy, suggest that because of the importance of this matter, it should be presented openly so that each side has an equal chance to bring forth the best arguments to support their position.  A moderator and rules to follow.  Nancy, since it is such a polarizing issue, dividing the country, then a real Speaker of the House who was really interested in the downright best course of action for the country to pursue, would welcome a real open debate to air the differences. 

Then the President would have the disagreements heard, openly and fair.

Do you think we would have more men and women sign up to fight the radical terrorists if we did not put them in uniform, take them over to Iraq, provide them with a AK47or other assault weapon, and assign them the task of routing out the fanatical Islamics?   Something to think about.   Well, this is the game they play.  No uniforms, a weapon, a mission, and they get to choose the site.  And what site do these cowards choose?  A public market loaded with innocent civilians.  What cowards.  Two bombs explode in market killing 55.

Calling them cowards is too easy on these weasels, weaklings, and everyone is disgruntled at their lack of courage in fighting the jihad.  Bums.  Come on out and fight like a human with dignity.  Barbaric monkeys.

In spite of these isolated attacks, the people have hope and are returning home.

"More families are returning to the homes they were once forced to leave, and we’re talking about some of the most dangerous districts such as Ghazaliya and Haifa Street."  it was reported "that yesterday alone 327 families returned home and that the scene of vans loaded with furniture of refugees leaving Baghdad is no more. There were times when the average was around 20 a day. The 327 figure brought the total to more than 500 families across Baghdad."   Good news you will not hear on CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, nor coming out of the mouths of Rosie, Hillary, Murtha, Reid, nor Sean Penn either.  Hillary and Rosie together in the same sentence has a certain ring to it, don't you think?   Both have a scream that offends. 

"One moment he'd been about to lock up Joe's Pawn and Bargain Center at 1825 NE 23 and go get some dinner at a Chinese buffet, and the next, the gunman and his two accomplices had burst inside, demanding money and threatening him and his coworkers."   News OK story. 

Then, from behind a two way mirror the boss opened fire,   "Two robbers were hit, and all three rushed out the door, leaving behind a heap of the pawn shop's jewelry and a trail of blood. Three suspects were later arrested on armed robbery complaints."  This is astounding.  One of the robbers is now out on bail.

It could have been a different story if the boss had not taken direct action to defeat the enemy right then and there.  The clerk could have been killed or harmed as other co-workers along with the money and whatever the three enemies demanded.  Was it time to negotiate?  Was it time to beg for your life?  Was it time to offer a compromise?
No, clearly it was time to shoot, and thank God the boss did.

This is how you deal with criminals.  Shoot, arrest, get them off the streets and then talk and convert. 
This is how you also deal with enemies like Islamic fanatics who wish to gain control of the west.

But just wait,  the prosecutor has not finished his investigation.   He may want to give the robbers immunity just as Johnny Sutton did against the Border Patrol agents.  The gun control advocates will use it because someone got hurt.  The victimology people will claim the robbers are the real victims, as all they wanted was some money to buy milk and bread, or some other nonsense, or they had a traumatizing experience as a child  

What a mixed up world.

US arrogance in yet another arrogant outburst."   Hillary was in the Liberty City section of Miami, a predominately black community, storming the campaign trail and the NY Post has the short of it all.

Let's just review a few of her statements.

"It's very sad to me,"  "We have to rebuild it [Iraq] because a lot of the problems we have, we can't solve on our own. It can't be solved just because we have the strongest military in the world."   Yes, we can Hillary.  Does Japan ring a bell for you Hillary, and the bombing of pearl harbor.  It took a nuke or two, and then a huge amount of American resources over time to rebuild the country, and now look at Japan.  Does Germany ring a bell?  Yes, we can take out Iraq, and we still have all that power and resources to rebuild the country of Iraq, and provide the people there a real chance of freedom and democracy.  Now do you think that something like that would stabilize the entire Middle east for many generations to come?  I do.  Fear of destruction. 

"I don't think you get very far in life if you just point fingers at somebody and say, 'We think you're bad. We're never going to talk to you.' "   Now she must be referring to that guy from Iran who has been quoted as saying that Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth.  And calling the US the great satan.  Yes, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran has also said, "We don't shy away from declaring that Islam is ready to rule the world."  Now Hillary, I'd like to know what is your definition of bad people.  First of all Hillary, it is bad people like Ahmadinejad who make  declarations that they want to destroy us, and you can't stomach the idea that he just might have evil intentions for America.  A bad person.  After you capture the criminal, have him behind bars, then you can talk.  You don't talk when the criminal has a gun pointing at your head, you beg for your safety.  Hillary, that is what you advocate.  Beg for the safety of America.  Please don't nuke us when you do get those weapons. 

And she thinks she would make a good commander in chief.

I don't think that's the way the world works," she said, later adding, "you don't make peace with your friends."  Again Hillary you are again wrong again.   You keep the peace with your friends and you and your friends get together and fight to keep the enemy from destroying your friendships.  That is the way the world should work.  But, in our progressive secular society, which had it's barnstorming days escalated during your husbands days as commander in chief, criminals get to go free, victims get jail, except if you belong to a minority, then you get a hand out for claiming to be a victim.  

This lady in waiting does not have a backbone, nor principles, and she wants to be commander in chief.  The arrogant little twerp.  She'll stand by her man, but will not stand by her country.

As I See It Now.

Poll finds that  57 % of Americans supported "finishing the job in Iraq.  What?  The respondents actually favored keeping U.S. troops there until the Iraqis can provide security on their own.   Only 41% disagreed. 

This is news.  It is contrary to what we have been hearing for the past 3 or 4 years, or even what we've been told since, when was it that Kerry was testifying in congress about the atrocities in Vietnam.   This is big time news and I'm sure that CNN will feature this all day. 

Hillary, always a big time poll quoter, will feature this.  Yes, this is big time and may just be the ticket to a real showing of support for the mission by approving the Presidents desire to send an additional 21,000 brave men and women into the terrorists playground.

This is big time NEWS. 

In a few years, you just might need it.   The state of New York wants to allow illegal aliens the right to vote.  Nancy wants to allow illegal aliens the right to pay in-state college tuition rates.  Why?  Haven't we been told that the  majority of migrants coming from the south lack even a high school diploma, and just want to do the jobs like gardening, cleaning my carpets, roofing, meat packing, chicken feather plucking and such.   Then how do they qualify for college?  And, how can they vote when they can't read or write English?  Oh, multi language ballots are required, and help is on the way to help interpret the questions.

Kentucky wants to give out "certificates for driving" without a license, without citizenship proof.

Advocates claim they will offer sanctuary to illegal immigrants if work-site raids aren't halted, until congress can come across with immigration reform.

The raids continue, but the noise in the news is not as loud.  "Two United Parcel Service warehouses in Auburn", Washington, were raided on valentines day,  "where agents arrested 51 immigrants they believe are in the country illegally.  By Thursday, 10 had convinced authorities of personal and family hardships and were released from the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, with orders to appear before an immigration judge, said Lorie Dankers, spokeswoman with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The others remained in custody."

Meanwhile the border patrol officers are tip toeing the line for fear of being arrested and sent to jail for violating the civil rights of a drug smuggler, or a future gardener, or a future Rhodes Scholar. 

On a positive note, since the national guard was placed on the border to aid the agents, the illegal crossings have diminished somewhat.   Since the raids on businesses made the news, perhaps a fear of being apprehended is making it's way across the border and holding back some who have planned the trip.  Perhaps.

What will the Democrats do?  Is Nancy just testing the waters, or is she really interested in taking on the immigration mess in a 'better way', and a different direction?   Keep your dictionary handy. 

Sunni and Shiite, Who are these people? Who are they, what’s the difference between the sects, and why do they fight each other? They are all Muslims, yes but. They are both practicing terrorism is Iraq. It appears neither desire a peaceful Iraq, so who are they and why do they fight? Knowing your enemy is one of the oldest maxim of war. You’ve got to KNOW who you are fighting, and why they are an enemy. Does our congress know the enemy? I’ll give them a hint. It is not George Bush, nor the right wing fanatics, nor the Christian right, nor the republicans, and it is not the anti-global warming crowd either, or Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

That’s astounding. To say that most of our leaders, policy makers and intelligence personnel in Washington do not know the difference. How about our media, the public opinion makers, what do they know about the enemy we are fighting? In Marks article of Dec 15, titled “Know thy Enemy” he states “Rep. Silvestre Reyes, the five-term Texas Democrat and incoming chair of the House Intelligence Committee, flunked a pretty simple quiz.” He did not know much at all about sunnis or shiites or why they were fighting. And this guy is the chairman of the House Intelligence committee. Intelligence Committee. Chairman. And he is intelligence challenged.

Then Reyes, who also sits on the House Armed Service Committee, was asked the same question with regard to Hizballah. "Hizballah, answers Reyes, Uh, Hizballah..." Laughing nervously and shifting in his seat, Reyes evaded. "Why do you ask me these questions at five o'clock? Can I answer in Spanish? Do you speak Spanish?"

"Do you know the differences in the religion between Shi'a and Sunni Muslims?"

"And what is al-Qa'ida,"

Ok, let’s ask these questions of our presidential candidates, the wonder kid Obama, and the lady Hillary, along with the likes of Murtha, and Reid, and throw in a few republicans as well, McCain, Rommey, Guillani etc. What do they know? Could they answer these questions?

The FBI chief of counterterrorism and counterintelligence waved off the questions entirely. "Not technically, no." "You don't need subject matter expertise." The FBI does not know the enemy. Astounding. Counterterrorism intelligence challenged. Handicapped sticker qualified.

Ok, let’s ask these questions of our drive by rubbernecking media. Do they know our enemy? Or are they only specialists in math proved by their incessant counting and adding up the bodies on a daily, weekly basis. Intelligence challenged and regular handicap zone parking patrons.

The Real Islam

A local professor goes politically correct and the entire university falls in step, firing Chief Illiniwek, a tradition of over 80 years at the university of Illinois. Just because of one girls remark   " More than ten years ago Charlene Teters stood alone before crowds of sports fans with a simple sign that read "Indians are people, not mascots."  "Then and now, that truth is self-evident and it is nonnegotiable, sir"  Part of the testimony by  professor Stephen Kaufman advocating that the almost century long tradition of the Chief doing a dance during half time of the University basketball games, among other things, would be history, should be stopped because it might offend some indians.  The Chief Illiniwek was more than a mascot, it became a symbol, a tradition and a memorial of the valiant soldiers who fought in WW2. 

A relative lives in the town and had this to say about the tradition. 

"There is so much HISTORY behind it.  The first 3 or 4 people who portrayed the Chief were eagle scouts and knew TONS about indian history. That's WHY they wanted to be the chief. My Dad remembers the chief riding up to their school on a pinto pony and full regalia to teach about Native American history. Then the PC people got ticked off and they quit that...now they say"if it was used as a way to teach about indian history, we wouldn't have a problem with that." MAKE UP YOUR MIND!
The reason we are called the "fighting Illini" is b/c of the people from the university who fought in WW2, NOT b/c we're fighting indians. There was actually a woman who was called "princess illiniwek" who was used when WW2 took away all the men. The University for years has acknowledged that he is not a "Mascot" but a "SYMBOL". The current "outfit" the chief wears was MADE BY indians! As recently as 1993 (I think) the closest relatives of the illiniwek indians, (the Peoria tribe in OK???) made a statement in support of the chief saying that they were honored by the symbol".  Read more from University page. 

"There is nothing better than going to a game and hearing the "3-in-1" and seeing the chief. I will see it for the last time on Wednesday at the last men's b-ball game. I will probably cry."

Most of the local people around town feel the same way.  "It's sad. There's a lot of history. Unfortunately, a lot of people on other campuses don't understand how we're feeling, how much respect we hold for the Chief," said Trent Folkens, 20, a UI junior. "We almost feel a little powerless, but I would love to see the tradition go on."  The mood at the game was sadness, anger.  Dan Maloney, the current Chief Illiniwek, is not his usual Illini-pride-filled self these days.  "It's a sad day. What's next? Mom, the flag, apple pie? Apple pie's got trans fat in it."   Yes, how far will this silliness of hyper sensitivity to protect the hyper sensitive feelings of a few take this country?  Mom's apple pie will become a gender neutral apple pie.

The chief Illiniwek has been fired because the board of trustees caved in to the NCAA, which was withholding any chance of the school getting any post season tournaments at the school. because the University still promoted an Indian 'mascot'.

Tom Maloney, the father of the current Chief illiniwek, along with numerous supporters are taking this issue to the state legislature, and possibly filing a lawsuit against the board.  "The whole situation is a very sad ending to an honored tradition,"

This slippery road of forced and coerced politically correct behavior has turns and curves ahead of us we can't yet imagine the ramifications of just how much regulation and suppression of free speech damage can be done in the name of diversity fairness.  If left unchecked at this point, and if the people sit idly by and accept these demands that honored traditions of long standing in American History be done away with, then all American tradition is doomed.  If, because of the hypersensitive feelings of a few, which drive the bureaucrats to demand we the people to bend over and grab the ankles, while they whine and moan of their concern for cultural differences that we all need to be tolerant of, then kiss this country good-bye.  A tyranny is rising in the name of diversity.

This is newspeak.   Better learn it now folks, because it is not going away.  But it is worth the fight, and there are many Tom Maloneys out there willing to go the distance.  Good Luck Tom, and God bless you.
