Arabic public school in NY.

This was bound to happen, but I never thought it would be so soon.  The New York Department of Education says "that it will open a public school next fall dedicated to Arabic language and culture."  As reported here.  I have a question.   Will the teachers and administrators of this public school have any instruction of, or say anything whatsoever about the religion of Islam within the school?  A warning to the school.  Do not in any way even appear to mention the religion of Islam at any time.  Do not.  Because we the people of America will be all over you, because of that thing called the separation of church and state.

A soldier speaks out...

"War is not a chemistry set with predetermined outcomes or complications."   Wow, what a novel historical statement.   Have the democrats or the anti-war crowd heard this yet?   This one statement could rewrite the books of Vietnam and of the current situation in Iraq.  This one statement alone may turn John Kerry into a believer.  Do you think so?  Barack Obama has set a date of March 2008, a predetermined date, a date he may have conceived in deep thought while sipping orange pekoe decaf tea on a veranda somewhere.   Enough with the sarcasm. 

Cal Thomas has written an excellent article about a letter he received from a soldier on the ground in Mosul. 

Below are some excerpts from Sgt. Dobsons letter. 

"It is our overwhelming opinion that we have not been allowed to conduct the war to the fullest of our capability; neither do we feel that we should pull out because of a lack of results." says Sgt Dobson of Grand Rapids, Michigan.  With a great army matched with an equally cunning enemy, we find ourselves in a difficult, but winnable fight. We do not seek results; rather, we seek total and unequivocal victory."

"To make his point, he tells a story: "An army once marched on the great city of Rome. The emperor, fearing for the future of the Roman Empire, sent the Empire's greatest warrior to the camp of the general to negotiate the cessation of hostilities. After several hours with the general, he asked the warrior just how much he loved Rome. Without thinking, the warrior rose and walked to a fire and stuck his right hand in the flames until it was completely burned away. This,' the warrior said is how much all Romans love Rome.' The general, struck with fear, said that if all Romans should have the same spirit as this warrior, he could not afford war with Rome, and so retreated back to his homeland."

"I fear that when questioned of their love for country, many Americans would shy from the flames. It breaks our hearts to see our nation, which was more of a Union on Sept. 12, (2001) fall to such petty bickering. No longer are we (one) out of many, but have fallen from one into many. We on the front lines long to see the white-fisted, purple-faced, raging hatred for our enemies that we saw on the morning of the 12th. We long to see America seeking victory as much as we do"

It is a dreadful shame that one half of the country has given up on any concept of victory.  If only, the voices chanting for a victory were just a bit louder than the shrills of cut and run, we would win and our troops would bring home the victory trophy.

There is no dispute about global warming...it will come.

Now ladies and gentlemen, and all those folks up there in upper New York, listen up.  Because of the phenomenon of global warming, those snows you have experienced will recede.  Do not be concerned.  The IPCC has spoken. 
Your part of the earth will "very likely" warm up and the snows will turn into water, which will run into your drainage system, which will then run into the streams and rivers causing them to rise to a level where possibly the city of New York may flood, but that's their problem.  This is "likely" to happen, using a term of the scientists of IPCC.  And because of the unusual amount of snow concentrated in such a relatively small area, the excess drainage will 'likely' cause the mighty ocean to rise.  However, it is also "very likely" that none of this will happen because of man's contribution to the greenhouse gasses which are formed from natural elements on the earth since day 1 or day 2, or after that big bang thing that left a greenhouse effect covering the earth as protection from many harmful rays of the sun and other things, which naturally warms the earth every spring.  Take heart, spring is very very very likely to come as normal.

Mexican government interfering in our border protection.

More news out on the tragic punishments our officers are receiving after confronting illegal alien activity on this side of the border. 

Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas – told WND  he has "long suspected that Mexican government officials ordered the prosecution of our law enforcement agents.  Mexico wants to intimidate our law enforcement into leaving our border unprotected, and we now have confirmation of it in writing," Culberson said.   You can view the letters written by the consulate of Mexico at the link above or by clicking here for page 1 and here for page 2 of the letter that clearly asks for the assistance of the Texas Rangers. 

This particular letter is addressing the incident of the "the Mexican national Rodriguez was in a Chevrolet Suburban van full of illegals that attempted to run over Hernandez after he had stopped the vehicle for running a stop sign April 14, 2005, in Rocksprings, Texas. Firing his weapon at the rear tires, a bullet fragment hit Rodriguez in the mouth, cutting her lip and breaking two teeth." 

There is much more in this report by WND and should be read there in it's entirety.  Kudos to WND for bulldogging this issue.  Do you think that NOW there is enough information available contradicting the testimony of Johnny Sutton for the President to pardon these officers?   I do.  More than enough.

Mr. President, it is time to pardon these agents now.  Tony Snow, go in there, into the oval office, and let the boss know that there is no better time than right now.   It should be done.   Then let the government of Mexico know that we will control the activities on this side of the border, and that they should control the activities on their side of the border.  Good neighbors see that their own kids and pets stay on their side of the line.

Three cheers for Newt.

Yes, that guy again has it right.  Newt had it right with the contact for America in 1994, and he has it right again in his advocacy for making English the Official language of the US of A   Do away with the multi-languaged federal forms, citizen papers and all of that stuff.  Read his article here.

It's just too bad that Newt is damaged goods as he would make an excellent representative for the republican presidential candidate.  But, my feelings are that he is damaged goods.  All of the ethics charges filed against him in the nineties would surface again and the leftist democrat media would have a heyday with it.  that's too bad, because he would make a good president.   He's smart, articulate, and can see through problems with a blow torch.  His own website has some very interesting bits, pieces and food for thought.

On to English.  Is there not one congressman who will present this as a bill and  see it through with enough conviction to gather the votes.  The politicians always recite polls as reasons for legislation, but this is one overwhelming supportive poll, they ignore.  Now why is that?

Non binding resolutions

All these non binding resolutions are is just talk.  But our political talk is being monitored by the enemy, and all this debate does is show the radical Islamics that we are more divided than ever.  That if a democrat wins the presidency in 2008, then as Obama has said, our troops will be out of Iraq by March of 2008.   Just wait.  When will the democrats learn?  Even many republicans are signing on. 

Common sense would say, the less the enemy knows about your intentions the better your appearance of strength.  OH yea, I forgot,  the democrats have not yet determined that there is an enemy we are fighting in Iraq. 

Just say NO to Iraq resolution.  In fact, why even have an Iraq resolution?  let them guess. 



And across the seas.  iraq is closing the borders to Syria and Iran for 72 hours under the US backed security plan along with extending the curfew hours from 11pm to 8 pm.  Steps being taken. 


Iraq has also opened diplomatic talks with Syria after nearly a quarter century of silence.  "Iraq on Tuesday resumed diplomatic relations with neighboring Syria — a move seen as a possible step toward stemming some of the unrelenting violence, which claimed another 100 lives."   Additional steps.

Radical Islamics vs Christians in Lebanon.

Over 600,000 Christians have fled the country of Lebanon over the past 16 years.  That's quite a crowd.  That's quite a migration of people fleeing their homeland.  "Twin bus bombings in Lebanon today are a bid by anti-government elements to destabilize the country and part of a general campaign to intimidate Lebanon's Christian population."

"These bombings are intimidating Christians and also Lebanese in general," said Gemayel. "Ninety percent of all the assassinations the past two years and most of the bombings have occurred in Christian population centers."

"You don't hear this on the news too often, but I'm telling you, Christians are fleeing Lebanon. It's a major problem," says Samy Gemayel, brother of assassinated Lebanese politician Pierre Gemayel told WND in an interview.

No, we will not hear about this on our news.  We are only told of the number of American soldiers have been killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, and how many Lebanese civilians have been killed by Israel.  We will not hear on the news of the involvement that Syria has with the turmoil in Lebanon. 

"Christians previously made up the majority of Lebanon's population. A 1932 census stated Lebanon was 55 percent Christian. But recent surveys cited by the CIA Factbook state Muslims now constitute a solid majority with 60 percent. The Shia sect, represented by the Hezbollah militia, is Lebanon's largest Muslim community."   Muslims are taking over, Christians are leaving. 

The two religions are not compatible.  Never will be.

Don't enforce the laws. DL not required.

"Sometimes you just shake your head in disbelief, dismay and disgust.  Do you know what I mean?  Sometimes you see a person, see a headline, hear a broadcast or a speech and it is so stunning, so flabbergasting, so outrageously unreasonable that you are at a complete loss for a coherent and reasonable reaction.  All you can do is shake your head"   That's the opening statement of this writer of an account where she was denied access to a public meeting, because she correctly assumed, she represented the opposition.

The meeting was "a public discussion about giving driving licenses to undocumented persons (that is, illegal aliens); the governor and the current head of the New York Department of Motor Vehicles were both invited." which was being held at the labor union headquarters of SEIU 32B.  A sign on the wall read.


DON’T LET THE DMV ENFORCE INS LAWS

 
This should be a open and shut discussion. In fact, the discussion should not even be taking place.  Americans have long been accustomed to having to have a drivers license to legally operate a moving vehicle.   Right?   Each state have their own specific laws and issue licenses to state residents.  We have to abide by these laws.  Right?  Try not to, and see what happens when you are pulled over and you do not have a license, or insurance. 

And now, illegal aliens get a pass.  I just do not understand.  Perhaps I should just rip up all my documents, the social security card, my drivers license, cancel my health insurance, auto insurance (required by law) and become an illegal alien.  The banks don't care.  I won't have to settle up with the IRS on April 15th.  I'll get special treatment all the way around. 

But, I'd have to learn some other foreign language to get the pass.  But, I do not look the part either, as my heritage is Swedish.  yaaa!

Another illegal immigrant outrage.

This time, an illegal immigrant was a passenger in the van, had paid $2000 to a human trafficker to bring the victim across the border into the US and up into the hinterland.  The driver was pulled over for running a red light by officer Gilmer Hermandez.  Instead of getting out of the vehicle and producing proof, you know, things like a drivers license and insurance papers, the driver turned the vehicle into the officer and drove off.   Now, if you were the officer, what would you do?  Let 'em go and pass it off as a bad pull over, a mistake.  Second guess yourself and think, well perhaps he did not run the red light and was just upset at being delayed.   I would hope not.  Not if you're doing your duty as a police officer.  You would do just what Mr. Gilmer Hermandez did.

No, Gilmer shot at the tires of the vehicle and somehow a fragment of some sort hit the lip of one of the aliens inside the vehicle.  Now, a civil rights suit against Gilemer Hermandez, and he is found guilty by a jury of his peers as the passengers in the vehicle, all illegal aliens by the way, were granted amnesty to testify.  This case was also under the jurisdiction of Johnny Sutton.  The feds were also involved.  Where is the driver of the vehicle?  The rest of the passengers (illegal aliens)?

He will be sentenced next month and it could be up to 10 years in prison.  Story details here.

What is going on in this country?   Why are American law enforcement officers being prosecuted to the fullest unfair extent of the law, when illegal immigrants and people involved in drug and human smuggling are being given immunity for testifying?   Why is this happening?   Why?   And don't you dare give me any of this stuff about violating 'civil rights'.  These illegals crossing the borders left their civil rights at the border.  Has everyone forgotten that they are breaking our laws.  What the heck is going on?

This case, and the case of Ramos and Compean, were both for violating the civil rights of the aliens.  What about the civil rights of American citizens and American law enforcement officers?   Another aspect of both cases are the questions of the jury who have convicted these officers.  What were they thinking?  What is the make up of the jury?  Were they all Hispanic?  I know the jury has to judge the case based on the evidence presented, but the evidence must be 'without a doubt'.

As they used to say.  Something is rotten in Denmark,  Only this time it's in these United States of America.

Don't cut that beard!

Barbers in Pakistan have been warned not to cut off the beard of Muslims as it's an offense to Islamic laws.  A pamphlet was being left at the doors of barbers.   "Any barber shop where acts against Shariah (Islamic law) — shaving or cutting of beards — are seen, are given a final warning to stop this anti-Shariah work and if they do not stop, they should take responsibility for whatever harm they come to," the pamphlet said.

But this is the peaceful religion of Islam.  Well, there may be many millions of moderate, tolerant, peaceful Muslims out there somewhere, but where is their voice condemning these tactics of terror?  Is it because only the outrageous get the news?  Is it because the moderate Muslims are in fear for their very lives because of these threats?  

Will this ever stop?

Environmentalists would be tyrants!

"Air freighting flowers half way round the world contributes to global warming." so says Andrew Sims, the policy director of the New Economics Foundation.   Everything nowadays is contributing to global warming.  Even those record snows in New York are probably being contributed to global warming.   Those greenhouse gases hovering over New York are preventing the lake effect from moving faster out of the area, but instead of avoiding the warmer air from the south running into the colder air from the north,  and along with the water picked up out of the lake have no where to go, but to dump all that snow in a small area.  Did you understand all that?  Neither did I. 

Now these greenies wish to stop the free market system that brings a huge amount of flowers from Africa, rather than from the Netherlands (they can be harvested cheaper in Africa) because the extra carbon dioxide from those air planes is contributing to the global warming effect.  So now, Valentine bouquets are bad for the planet.
But, don't stop there, declare that England should produce it's own flowers.  But don't stop there.   Vicky Hird, of Friends of the Earth, said: "We don't want to be killjoys because receiving flowers can be lovely but why not grow your own gift?"   Vicki, You are a killjoy.  You would be a tyrant.  You are more dangerous than SUV's.

Is there anything that these people do not see as a threat to the planet.   Technology is a threat.  The free market system is a threat.   Cars are a threat.  Lawnmowers are a threat.  People are a threat.   Even the farts of cows are a threat.  Is there anything they see that does not cause global warming?  Yes, there is.  The sun.

This is just too much.  Imagine these people being in power somewhere.  Tyranny.

al-Qaeda waiting till March 31, 2008 ....

If I were the leader of al-Qaeda, John Howard of Australia said, "I would put a circle around March 2008 and be praying as many times as possible for a victory, not only for Obama but also for the Democrats."  Thank you Mr. Howard.  Australia has been our biggest ally in this war centered in Iraq, have their own troops on the ground, and the same interest in winning this thing as the US has, or had.  But the will is gone down the drain.

He also said "Obama's proposals would spell disaster for the Middle East."

"I think that will just encourage those who want to completely destabilize and destroy Iraq, and create chaos and a victory for the terrorists to hang on and hope for an Obama victory,"

Australian Prime Minister Blasts Obama's Iraq Policy

It seems that Mr. Howard is experiencing the same criticism as Bush from the anti-war crowd to pull out of Iraq and tell al-Qaeda in advance when the troops will leave.   Then al-Qaeda can escalate their efforts to take over Iraq.  For al-Qaeda it would be sit and wait, find a cave, brew some tea, kidnap a few here and there just to let us know they are still active, while Iran brings in more supplies, ammunition and manpower for the big push in April 2008. 

"There's no way by March 2008, which is a little over a year from now, everything will have been stabilised so that America can get out in March 2008," Mr Howard said. "Al Qaeda will trumpet it as the greatest victory they've ever had."

"And, if America is defeated in Iraq, the hope of ever getting a Palestinian settlement will be gone."

I'll add this.  If America is defeated in Iraq, the hope of containing Iran will be gone.  If America is defeated in Iraq, the hope of America remaining the light of personal freedom for the world will be gone.  If America is defeated in Iraq, the next generation of Americans may not need to learn Spanish, but Arabic.  If America is defeated in Iraq, the next generation of Americans will be praying five times a day and planning for a trip to Mecca.  This is what it comes down to folks.  Plain and simple.  Too simple for the simpletons in Washington to understand as they are the only ones who understand complexities.   What ever happened to, we win, they lose?

John Howard is also the one who said that anyone coming to Australia needs to adopt to the values of Australia.  "We will decide who comes to this country, and the circumstances under which they come."  "Truth is absolute, truth is supreme, truth is never disposable in national political life."  "Terrorists oppose nations such as the United States and Australia not because of what we have done but because of who we are and because of the values that we hold in common."

And then Obama blasts John Howard.

"I take that as a compliment." said Obama.

If fences make good neighbors, then...

...build that wall!   Take some tips from the Saudi Kingdom who are building a wall in anticipation of possible fragmentation of Iraq.  "The new wall will include buried movement sensors, ultraviolet night-vision cameras, face-recognition software and quite probably automated weapons in addition to the usual electrified fences, concertina wire, dry moats and mines."  According to the Toronto Star.

But our politicians in Washington are mired in different types of lobbyists payouts and civil rights groups delaying the efforts of even the 700 miles fences along our southern border authorized in the legislation of October of 2006. 

Meanwhile, approximately  2700 illegal aliens cross the border each day.  That's each day.    Each 24 hours of the clock.   On average.  If the current estimate of 1 million new aliens each year stream into the US illegally, then simple math breaks ti down to 2739 per day.  I wonder if congress remembers simple math?  That's the way it appears when the budget is presented each year, because what they call a 'cut in spending' is actually an increase in spending over last years figure.    How do they get away with calling it a cut then?  Because it's a reduction in the expected normal built in yearly increase. But, I have digressed, which is easy to do when talking of political issues as this is also what the politicians do.

Dag gone it,  Build that wall!   And then we can become a good neighbor to Mexico.

Mexican border, a crossing spot for terrorists?

No.  You got to be kidding.   "Evidence of "special-interest aliens" using the Mexican border to gain entry to the United States has been kept secret from the American public, according to federal law enforcement agents, terrorism experts and critics of U.S. foreign policy with Mexico."  So reports this article  of the Daily Bulletin of Ontario Ca.  

What are of  "aliens of special Interest"?   This a term used by the FBI for people from countries where al-Qaida is known to be active.  Egypt is one of those countries. 

"On Sept. 5, a man calling himself Miguel Alfonso Salinas was apprehended off a deserted highway near the U.S.-Mexico border.  The tinted windows on Alfonso Salinas' vehicle aroused the suspicion of Border Patrol agents patrolling a dark and desolate stretch of Highway 9, which runs parallel to the border and is the site of large numbers of illegal crossings."  Three Mexican migrants were in the vehicle also, but the most astounding bits of information came days later when they discovered that Salinas was not who he claimed to be.  He lied.  Gee whiz, someone lied to get a softer treatment from ICE.  And now after further investigation revealed that Salinas is really  Ayman Sulmane Kamal, a Muslim born in Egypt - a country designated as "special-interest" by the United States for sponsoring terrorism.

Do you think that smuggling narcotics across the borders could be a fund raiser for terrorist activities?   That is exactly what is happening.  It's not only Hispanics wishing to cash in on the illegal drug trafficking, but  al-Qaida is also getting in on the action.  The open border is open.  Drug smuggling through open borders.  

"According to an intelligence report written by the DEA, "La Entrada al Pac fico (Gateway to the Pacific)" - also the name of a Texas-Mexico plan to expand border trade - Asian narcotics traffickers, in collusion with Mexican drug trafficking organizations and terrorist groups, could use expanded trade routes to bring contraband into the United States."   

      "The DEA has made a conscious effort to generate predictive intelligence so policy makers can be aware and plan ahead for significant changes in narcotics and smuggling operations," said a DEA official who asked to remain anonymous. "Any time you send in a predictive piece of intelligence that has merit and it's ignored, then the consequences of that can be devastating to national security." According to DEA intelligence reports, the link between terrorism and narcotics has been well known.  However,  federal agents say getting bureaucrats to understand the growing danger is difficult when most lawmakers won't even acknowledge many of the problems already happening along the U.S. border."

Why is that?  Would you desire to bet that lawmakers have been influenced by the civil rights groups and unions and large corporations, all desiring to tap into that huge cheap labor pool of illegal aliens.  While they use the cheap labor, knowing that these workers are going to work their butt off, not complain about conditions and hope that these jobs will eventually lead to the good life in America, another side is also happening.   So, while the feds are at it, allowing these uncountable numbers of illegal aliens working in our fields, factories, roofing companies, possibly thousands of would be, possibly, probably terrorists are also working their way into the country also. Funding their activities by smuggling drugs or not, the open border is still open to terrorists.  Once in the country, how hard would it be to hide in a Muslim community, get falsified documents and wait your turn for terrorist activity.  It's happening.  Right here in the US. 

FBI warns Congress.  Yesterday.  Why did it take so long? 

These borders must be closed, sealed, patrolled, defended and that's it.  Period.  First things first.    Then debate and decide what to do with the uncountable illegals already here in the country. 


A solution is making it's rounds by e-mail.

Dig a trench from California to the gulf.  Let the waters of the pacific and the gulf run together.  take the dirt removed from the trench dig and fill in New Orleans and some swamps of Florida.  Take the alligators from there and put in the trench.

Another celebrity joins the global warming debate, controversy, fiasco of what Global Warming are you talking about.   What are you willing to do to combat global warming.  Yes, Pat Sajak of Wheel of Fortune fame, one of my favorite time passing shows add his two cents into the mix.  And it's a good two cents too. 

"However, there's another level on which I have trouble with those who are the true believers. Why aren't they doing more to stop it? I don't mean offering ideas for regulations to tell the rest of us what to do; I mean what are they doing personally. If I'm driving an SUV or living in a big house, they can accuse me of callous disregard for the problem, but at least the callousness is based on my non-belief. What about them? Why are they still driving that big car or living in that big house? In fact, why are they driving at all? Why haven't they moved into a minimalist home within walking distance of their office? Talk about callous!"

Good one Pat.  Nancy the fancy 'needs' a big, and bigger jet than Dennis Hastert had to fly back home, a big longer limo for moving around DC, but what is she willing to do to personally combat mans (womans) contribution to stop global warming?  What does Al Gore personally do to stop the ozone layer from filling up with carbon dioxide, besides writing a book, producing a movie, and endless speeches promoting his book of unfounded scientific gobbledegook.  What kind of SUV does Al drive?   Do you think you could find a few more examples of, could we call it hypocritical behavior?
