Amnesty Time Out.

So far, the bill is dead. but not so far away there will be another attempt to legalize everyone of the illegal aliens into the country in one grand stroke of the pen.

President Bush made a statement this morning from Germany that he believed the bill is not dead and that Reid should consider putting the bill back on the table, for another round.

The NY Times thought the bill had a lack of real leadership and that is why it was defeated.   Of course, to the Times, the leader was Bush himself, or Jon Kyl, but not Reid, nor Kennedy,  "A core group of lawmakers has shown a greater faith in their country than that. They must keep fighting, knowing that on the central principles — restoring the rule of law, enhancing security, easing the pressure on the border and giving immigrants hope — Americans are with them.   Boy, these guys at the Times are good at twisting facts and definitions into whatever fits their goal.  At first read you could have thought the Times was referring to what conservatives must continue to do. Nope it's directed at Reid and Kennedy and yes, John McCain the rino.

This is exactly what we conservatives have been wanting the country to finally get, a round  tuit

1.  "restoring the rule of law"  Enforce the laws of the country regarding immigration.

2. "enhancing security".   Amen to that, close the borders tight as can be, not just enhancing, but having security in the first place to enhance and make better.

3.  "easing the pressure on the border'   How do you ease pressure on the border?  By making sure that the illegals know that we are serious about keeping the border closed with fences, monitors, patrols, cameras, dogs, what have you.  They will get that idea and stop trying in the large numbers that have been successfully crossing previously.  It will take the pressure off the border patrol to keep running from one fire to another.

4. "giving immigrants hope".   All of the immigrants who have patiently stood in line waiting their turn at legal immigration will feel that their wait was not in vain and they will not be punished because of the politicians politicizing the millions of illegal aliens.

The NY Times just listed the 4 point plan.

It's a time out, this is all it is.  As the liberals take a deep breath, we conservatives need to take a deep breath too, as the game will begin again soon.

A New Name, but the same game.

Paris Hilton and Lewis Libby,,,Justice in America.

And so it goes, because of an unspecified medical condition, Paris has been released for jail and is to serve her time under house arrest.  Could it be that she was suffering from emotional distress?  Or the fan club withdrawl syndrome?   Now she can go home to her mansion, the swimming pool, the tennis court, the entertainment center, the stroll around 2000 square foot closet and serve her debt to society.   Lewis Libby will not get the same treatment for obstructing justice in a case where no crime had been committed.   But Hilton violated a direct order and was caught and sentenced.  Hilton is a filthy rich white girl who happens to be part of the entertainment industry.   Libby is a so so rich white male who happens to be part of the Bush administration.

You can bet your bottom that if this was Paris Bush, a daughter of George and Laura, then CNN and the rest of liberal news would be declaring all kinds of travesties of justice and specials would be running around the clock, headlines would be Bold  144 pt. type case, and the immigration debates in congress would stop to concentrate on the unfairness of American justice and the privileges of the rich and powerful.

Or, if Paris happened to be a poor black girl, she would serve out her time in jail, and If Libby happened to be a blak liberal democrat, there never would have been a trial.

Ameican Justice.  So what else is new.

Intentional Loopholes.

Last night the senate voted in favor of an amendment that would allow 200,000 illegal foreigners to fill temporary jobs with US employers. For five years. Originally, the bill would have allowed 400,000 into the temporary worker program, but was cut in half to appease the opposition.

This is just one of those details of this huge comprehensive bill that illustrate what is wrong with the entire thing. The number of temporary foreign workers is arbitrary, as not one of them can predict how many will be needed or wanted. It’s only a guess. You know that the business lobby has been talking to the committee that drafted the bill in the first place. You know that the La Raza organization was talking to the committee while the bill was being drafted. You also know that few, if any, of the committe members were talking to their constituents back home.

Now here’s one part of the details that will just frost your nostrils together. Our congress thinks it is OK to allow criminals to get legal status, even if a judge ordered an illegal immigrant to be deported, this bill would allow that same criminal to walk out of the court house, down the street to some office and get his legal papers and remain here. It also appears that gang members could stay, just not become legal.

The Senate voted 51-46 to reject a proposal by Sen. John Cornyn, R- Texas, to bar criminals—including those ordered by judges to be deported—from gaining legal status. Democrats siphoned support from Cornyn's proposal by winning adoption, 66-32, of a rival version that would bar a more limited set of criminals, including certain gang members and sex offenders, from gaining legalization.

This thing has got to be defeated. Every bit of it. Start over. Borders First.

Senator Jeff Sessions had his staff go through the bill and find any “loopholes” that just might inadvertently be in the bill. They found a bunch. 20 of them are listed

"I am deeply concerned about the numerous loopholes we have found in this legislation. They are more than technical errors, but rather symptoms of a fundamentally flawed piece of legislation that stands no chance of actually fixing our broken immigration system,” Sessions said. “Many of the loopholes are indicative of a desire not to have the system work.”

Read all about the loopholes here.

Hurry up you fellow bloggers and save each and every rant.

Our time may be limited folks.  So, if you don't mind I'll be typing quick and may mispel some words here as I try to get this out there on the net before it's too late, but in some places it's already too late.  "Filtering of the internet" is already happening.   I's a fancy term for censorship.   But they say, it's not about restricting free speech, it is about "protecting " the vulnerable.

Amnesty International has organized a conference where this subject will be the main topic and purpose.  How to protect the freedoms associated with the open internet, the new media, the cyber space where bloggers and people spending oogles of time searching for information of the world, or for whatever floats their boat.   The 'free' usage of the www has been a technological breakthrough of unprecedented proportions of information sharing and other not so very nice things.  As the ad of a major retailer indicates, "it's all inside."  And it's there for almost anyone with a desire.  At home, the office, or if you do not have your own computer, it's available at local librarys.   Click, type a search word, and read.  Freedom.  But there is a catch.

The catch is that some governments don't like their people knowing some things.  And there are some here in the US of A that feel the same way.  So far, it appears that China is the worst at blocking out certain areas of information that the officials feel would be detrimental to their power continuance.

"The Chinese model of an internet that allows economic growth but not free speech or privacy is growing in popularity, from a handful of countries five years ago to dozens of governments today who block sites and arrest bloggers," said Tim Hancock, Amnesty's campaign director."

"Unless we act on this issue, the internet could change beyond all recognition in the years to come."

"According to the latest Open Net Initiative report on internet filtering, at least 25 countries now apply state-mandated net filtering including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Burma, Ethiopia, India, Iran, Morocco and Saudi Arabia."

Story is here.

Censorship is on the rise.  WND has reported that certain areas of our own military bases had blocked access to wnd.org, the online news and opinion source created by Joseph Farah.  Amnesty indicates that Google, Microsoft and Yahoo are complicit in the problem.  These companies say that by restricting some sites from being accessed from China, they are just abiding by local laws.

"Filtering was only one aspect of internet repression, the group said. It added that increasingly it was seeing "politically motivated" closures of websites and net cafes, as well as threats and imprisonments."  Some have been imprisoned for critizing the ruling class.

The bottom line.  It's a trend and it could come to America in one way or another.  Most likely we will see some sort of restrictions on the not so nice areas of the www in the name of decency.  Most of us can agree on that, but that does open up a can of worms for the equal rights for all lawyers to get into the playground and make a few bucks in the name of protecting our freedoms.

But remember, with freedom comes responsibility.  We all like the freedom part, but not the responsibility part.

D-Day, 63 years ago today.

Most Americans may not know about D-Day, but 63 years ago today, was the famous invasion at Normandy. The western allied effort to liberate Europe from the hands of Hitler’s Nazi Germany. Over 100,000 allied forces were sent ashore at the beaches of Normandy France and it was deadly as thousands of them were killed while trying to take out the Nazi bunkers. But the tactic worked, as it was a deciding moment, the “trigger” that tipped the scales in the favor of the west.

Another event happened that day. But you will be astonished that he was allowed to do that, to get away with it.. What about all those legal rulings saying that it is against the law? Where was the outrage?  What did the NY Times have to say about it the next day?   I mean, you just can't do things like that, to offend so many people, it's just outrageous.

The president prayed a prayer for the country and the troops over national radio.

You can read more and listen to that prayer by clicking on over to WND

Your money could be going to La Raza

HR 1999 as introduced by representative Ruben Hinojosa of Texas would provide 5 mil the first year and ten mil each year thereafter for the purpose of offering assistance to the National Council of La Raza.  The purpose: "to undertake community development and affordable housing projects and programs serving low- and moderate-income households, particularly through organizations located in neighborhoods with substantial populations of income-disadvantaged households of Hispanic origin."

And that's it folks.  That's all.   Whatever La Raza wants to do with your money it could do.  $10 million dollars each year, a guaranteed income.  Like I've posted before, our elected officials think anything in the millions is just pocket change.   Consider a budget at 2.9 Trillion, ten million would be similar to 21 cents to someone making 60 grand a year.   It's just pocket change, not even worth picking up off the street.  That's how our politicians think of our money.  Pocket change to throw around for votes.

Now about La Raza. It's a Hispanic advocacy tax exempt lobbying organization.  From it's own web page it had an account of the protest marches across the country on May 1st or May day.
Some 200,000 peoples took to the streets to make their voices heard in Chicago, as did thousands of others across the country, demanding that the Democratic-controlled Congress pass, once and for all, the immigration reform to be debated in mid-May.” Chanting Legalization now, or "Legalización ahora".   Read it all here in the English version

Does not sound like a pro America organization to me.  So why are we giving it money to advance a foreign cause on American soil?   Do we give 10 mil to an Italian advocacy group, or Israel, or Swedish, or African, or Canadian, or a Russian advocracy group.   The people of Texas should be proud of their representative, Ruben
Hinojosa.

Read this account of the La Raza org. and House Bill 1999. at
WND.

"With regard to national security concerns, NCLR has strongly opposed most of the U.S. government's post-9/11 counterterrorism efforts, alleging that they have "undermined" the rights of "noncitizen Latinos." For example: La Raza was a signatory to a March 17, 2003 letter exhorting members of the U.S. Congress to oppose Patriot Act II on grounds that it "contain[ed] a multitude of new and sweeping law enforcement and intelligence gathering powers … that would severely dilute, if not undermine, many basic constitutional rights"   Discover the Networks.

More on matters of Money.  Hillary was honest enough to declare that the federal government has to take money away from some people so that other people could have health insurance.
“An uninsured person who goes to the hospital is more likely to die than an insured person,” Clinton said. “I mean, that is a fact. So what do we do? We have to build a political consensus. And that requires people to give up a little bit of their own turf in order to create this common ground.”

We knew she was and still is a socialist.

Are you ready to give up some of your own turf for La Raza and for Universal Health Care, all for the common good.  Won't you feel so much better when you know that your hard earned cash is going for the common good of La Raza and health care for hispanics among the thousands of other give away benefits for the 'needy'.  Well, it's gonna be taken away anyway.

It will just be a whole lot more money if the democrats achieve the triple threat.  House, Senate and WH.

Scooter is sentenced. He caused a problem.

Going to jail is Scooter Libby for lying and obstructing justice in a case where no crime was ever committed.   But he really had a bad memory.   Let's see if I can understand this.

On the original charges brought against Libby, it was found that no crime had been committed, and the case was not dropped as is normal when no crime has been committed.    But this case was then extended into a full scale investigation to determine if a another crime had been committed because the first act was not a crime.  But then, during this extensive investigation Libby was either intentionally lying about what he did not know, or what he did know about the accusation that was not a crime, or he actually did not remember the person who he had a conversation with months before, or what was said in that conversation.  So somewhere in our justice system, there is a law that says you have obstructed justice by doing what he did.

30 months in jail. And a BIG fine.

"People who occupy these types of positions, where they have the welfare and security of nation in their hands, have a special obligation to not do anything that might create a problem,"   U.S. District Judge Reggie B. Walton said.

Where was Judge Walton when another federal official had the security of the nation in his hands, and he certainly did something to cause a problem.   Bill and Monica.  Hey, our politicians are always causing problems.   They can't get out of bed without causing problems.   Patrick Kennedy had a problem with a fence.  They cause problems when they open their mouths.  But I would suspect that Judge Walton is specifically referring to Mr. Llibby and not desiring to make a blanket
judgement for everyone involved in Washington politics, so it's still open territory in Washington, as the judge was just moralizing in general. but being specific with Libby,   Morals are made to be broken, just as the immigration laws were made to be broken.

On another note.

It will be interesting to watch the case against William Jefferson, the guy with 90 grand just laying around in his freezer as if that was a common place to store a lot of cash.   He was under investigation for bribery charges, and now the feds think they have enough evidence to convict, so the accusation has been made, and the indictment was brought forth yesterday.  While this case develops, will Jefferson resign his seat?   Will the democratic leadership demand his resignation to show the people that they are serious about rooting out the corruption in Washington?  Top democratic leaders, remember now that you should not cause a problem.

Jefferson indicted. Will he resign his seat?

Now that the congressman with $90 grand in his refrigerator has been indicted on bribery charges, will he resign his seat?

"The 94-page indictment in Virginia, returned after a two-year inquiry, accused Mr. Jefferson of bribery, racketeering, conspiracy, money laundering, obstruction of justice and other offenses. It said that in December 2004 he solicited a bribe in a Congressional dining room.

The indictment said that from 2000 to 2005 Mr. Jefferson sought hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes, sometimes in the form of stock and retainer fees, from nearly a dozen companies involved in oil, communications, satellite transmission, sugar and other businesses, often for projects to be carried out in Africa.

In return, the indictment charged, Mr. Jefferson used his official position in Congress, as a member of the House Ways and Means subcommittee on trade, to promote the companies’ business ventures — without disclosing his own financial stake in the deals."

NY times story.

Will Mr. Jefferson resign his seat?   Oh, but he is a democrat, a liberal AND from Louisiana, and there are different rules for different folks.

Those Trashy Illegal Immigrants.

All along the southern border is a trash heap that is costing the federal government,  that means you and me the tax payers, millions of dollars for clean up costs and yet the crews have barely touched the surface.  Every kind of trash imaginable can be found along the border, left behind by those trashy illegal border jumpers coming into these United States.  Most of it, the authorities say, is bundles and bundles, sacks full of anything and everything, just stuff left in the desert as they wait for the people smugglers to come and transport them to a safe house.  It also appears the enviornmentalists are upset too as birds and aninmals may get sick from the human waste, the drugs and rottenfood that could possibly find it's way into the watershed.

"The trash is piling up faster than it can be cleaned up. Considering that the Border Patrol apprehended more than 577,000 illegal immigrants in 2004-05 alone, the BLM figures that those people left almost four million pounds of trash that same year."
"The trash includes water bottles, sweaters, jeans, razors, soap, medications, food, ropes, batteries, cell phones, radios, homemade weapons and human waste."

"It has been found in large quantities as high as Miller Peak, towering more than 9,400 feet in the Huachuca Mountains, as well as in low desert such as Organ Pipe National Monument and Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge. "

"In the Huachucas, you are almost wading through empty gallon water jugs," said Steve Singkofer, the Hiking Club's president. "There's literally thousands of water jugs, clothes, shoes. You could send 1,000 people out there and they could each pick up a dozen water jugs, and they couldn't get it all."
Read more of this report from KVOA Tucson.

And the President and congress wants to reward these people by not enforcing the laws, by allowing them to tresspass, by granting them a safe route to citizenship, or a green card, or a work permit, or that special Z type visa, and all they have to do is show their intentions to do it legally.  Right.

Will the powers to be ever get serious about this illegal immigrant disaster?   I truly doubt it.  Not serious about a real fix anyway.  After that past immigration bill of 1986 which again was supposed to solve the problem, we are facing the same situation today only a thousand times worse.  I just don't get it. I just don't understand how they can close their eyes and ears to the real dangers of not enforcing the laws already on the books.  It's a message that is being sent across the border.  Yes, we are a country of rules and laws that we say we uphold, but some laws are not enforced.  It's selective.  It's partial.  So why not make your run for the freedoms in the country that says it operates by the rule of law, but yet it only does so where and when it suits the political class.

Go for it.  Millions have made it.  There is room for millions more.  So, go for it.  Have a kid as quick as you can and you'll be safe as their heart is too big  too soft to throw you out.  It's America. They put up with trash.

Oh how that immigration bill is causing a firestorm….Well, good.

"The debate over the amnesty bill has allowed the members of the hard-line, law-and-order side of the conservative base of the Republican Party to tout their national security, anti-illegal-immigration bona fides.” Human Events.

“But with a week of action set to begin today, the legislation's champions say they believe that the voices of opposition, especially from conservatives, represent a small segment of public opinion. Sen Jon Kyl (R-Ariz.), who led negotiations on the bill for his party, said the flood of angry calls and protests that greeted the deal two weeks ago has since receded every day.”   Washington Post.

Even President Bush implied that the resisters did not want what was good for the country.

IT’S GETTING NASTY.

The bottom line.  Today's immigration system is too broken to go unaddressed.   Yes, now this is something that EVERYONE agrees on. Something must be done. But dag gone it, can’t there be some common sense considered when writing the bill?

Questions about the details within the bill are kind of being overlooked as the problem that we have with the bill. It’s not the title of the bill. It’s not the fact that border security will be increased or that “triggers” are in place before any of the other aspects of the bill can be implemented. It’s partially the fact that it is so huge that we are suspicious that no one really understands it completely, and that because of it’s comprehensive nature, down the road sometime a certain word phrase used in the first part could be used to negate a word phrase in the second part.

The country was taken once before in the 1986 bill, and we are suspicious of the country being taken again. Does anyone blame us for feeling that way? What assurances are being made? But even so, verbal assurances have been made before. Does anyone blame us for our revolt?

If EVERYONE agrees that the border security is the first phase of the bill, and the Secretary must certify that certain conditions are in place, then just write a bill that would address that problem ONLY, first and foremost. The balance can come later AFTER the border is secure.

The bottom line. Close the borders while ICE continues to enforce the laws concerning employers hiring the illegals.

It’s only As I see It Now.

Democrats throw around talking points.

Does anyone really think the presidential debates are really debates?  You know, those times when you were given 15 minutes to express your opinion on one particular subject and you had an opponent who was given the same amount of time to discuss his opinion on the exact same subject.  And then the class voted.

No interruptions, no questions asked during or after.  Just a vote.  Now that would be a debate.  "
A formal contest of argumentation in which two opposing teams defend and attack a given proposition."    What is happening in these presidential look pretty parties are not debates.

Anyway these are some of the talking points that the dem contenders had to say
over "whether the Bush administration had made the country safer from terrorism after the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001."

John Edwards. [the]
global war on terrorism a ``political slogan, a bumper sticker, that's all it is''

Hillary Clinton. ``I have seen first hand the terrible damage that can be inflicted on our country by a small band of terrorists.
I believe we are safer than we were.''

Barak Obama.  ``We live in a more dangerous world partly as a consequence of this president's actions,''

At another point in the "debate",  a raise your hand if you agree question was asked.  Do you think English should be the official language of America?  O
nly former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel raised his hand.  Obama thought the question was divisive.
so neither think America is strong enough to warrant one official language.

Just talking points.  If the moderator wanted a real debate, then after each of these statement he could have asked, and why do you say that?  You have 5 minutes to explain yourself.

The republican debates are not any better. Either the media, who put on and sponsor the debate, or the politicians who agree to the format, think that the American public does not want or cannot handle the intensity of a real debate between the contenders.  I have a tendency to think that neither one think the average American is smart enough to sit, listen and follow along to a real open honest debate.  And that is as sad as these debates are.

Oklahoma passes the All Kids Act.

It's really a health insurance freebie for kids who fall in a certain family income category, more than 185% and less than 300% of the federal poverty level, which means that a family of four with an income of $60,000 or less would qualify for free immunizations, primary care physician health check ups covered under medicaid.  It would increase the number of children eligible to receive Medicaid benefits in the state by closing the gap between those children presently receiving Medicaid benefits and those covered under private insurance held by their parents.  Supposedly this would provide coverage for about 146,000 kids now without basic health insurance.  It would also provide additional federal funding, $3 in federal matching funds for every dollar the state invests.  Now that's a winner for Oklahoma.

We have a moral responsibility to our youngest, most vulnerable citizens to give them the opportunities provided by adequate and accessible healthcare.”  Brad Henry, the governor said about the bill.

Janet Pearson of the Tulsa World had this quote in her column Sunday.   From An emergency room physician.   "What this (act) does is allow these kids to have care by a primary care physician, who will help them develop healthier habits, such as the importance of not smoking, of eating right, of taking care of their teeth   ---- kind of getting those young folks into that think-healthy mode that will carry through for the rest of their lives."

I guess we really are in a society where the parents are absent.  Where are they?  I wonder where that emergency room doctor got his knowledge of how to brush his teeth?  Or when to put on his shoes, or a raincoat?  Or look both ways before crossing the street?  Or that those veggies are good for you, and don't get up till you eat them.   And now parents with a 50 to 60 grand income can be absent even more, as the big daddy is taking care of you.   Did your doctor tell you to do that?   Your doctor told you to use what?   He gave you that?

I'm going with you next time kido.

Can this "government is the answer" thinking stop?   Washington will be next to regulate and restrict and pay for what parents ought to be doing.

Democrats breaking promises.

Do you remember back when the democrats won back the power in congress and they made the promise to the American people that they would provide more openness in government?   They don't remember either.

"Rather than including specific pet projects, grants and contracts in legislation as it is being written, Democrats are following an order by the House Appropriations Committee chairman to keep the bills free of such earmarks until it is too late for critics to effectively challenge them."    NewsMax short story.

And these are those budget busting pork barrel projects that legislators love because it sends money back to the home district to show the voters back home how they are 'working in Washington for them, there at home".

Let's see, the proposed budget was 2.9 trillion.  Who can comprehend the meaning of a number with so many zeros?  Anyway, what's the big deal of another 10 mil going to some research lab in Nevada to look into the migratory habits of the pink flamingo, or whatever.  Or, a bridge going to village of 19 people who don't care if they have a bridge or not, but it sure would open up the area to developers and tourists.  or 3 mil for sugar cane,  Another 3.5 mil in additional funding for guided tours of the capitol.  How about 20 mil for insect damage reimbursement.  24 mil for sugar beets.  165.9 mil for fisheries disaster relief.  40 mil for the Tree Assistance Program.  Now what is tree assistance?  Usually the power companies are trimming them back away from their lines, so is this a program to help them grow back, so that in 3 years they can trim again?   And now that the national parties are scattering around the country vying for the white House, they need 100 mil for the national conventions of each party.  All those ballons are expensive.

Some of those mentioned above were actually inserted into the Emergency Iraq War Supplement Bill.

Those things are just a drop in the bucket of $2.900,000,000,000, so why not?

Openness, my...... left foot wearing my army boot, (since I can't write what fits the expression).

A promise made by a politician is a sure sign that the promise will be broken.

Members of our congress meets with Muslim Brotherhood...in Egypt.

How far will members of our congress go to attempt to show the Muslim community just how tolerant and inclusive we Americans really are?   Some have called this part of the war of ideas.   Some call it treason.

“The congressional delegation, headed by North Carolina Democrat David Price, held talks with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak early Sunday before heading to Parliament to meet a group of lawmakers that included the Brotherhood's Mohammed Saad el-Katatni.”
Also in the group is the one republican Jeff Fortenberry, of Neb., and democrats Nick Rahall, and Gwen Moore. After this ‘fact finding’ stop in Egypt, they will visit Lebanon, Israel and Palestine. Why the trip in the first place? Fact finding?

"I have complete faith that Islam will invade Europe and America, because Islam has logic and a mission." - Muhammad Mahdi Othman 'Akef, Muslim Brotherhood movement leader.

Western ideas against Islamic ideas?  More appropriately, it would be called Judeo-Christian ideas against Islamic ideas.   “

Some have also called this meeting “treasonous”.   But hey, these representatives of congress just want to talk and see what these folks are all about.   The fuss comes about when Egypt criticizes the groups intentions when they refuse to meet with the Palestinian group Hamas, while meeting with an Egyptian banned group, The Muslim Brotherhood,  that created the Palestinian group that has connections to the Iranian thug who is threatening to wipe Israel off the face of the earth and the Iranian thug is also supporting Hamas created by the Brotherhood which is wanting to invade Europe and America.   Somehow it all ties together like one big extended family.

And our congresspeople want to meet with these people and to include these peaceful folks into our ideas when these folks they are talking with have no intentions of including our ideas into their ideas.

Some information of The Muslim Brotherhood from Discover the Network.
“Even as it is deemed insufficiently militant by some Islamist groups, the Brotherhood has had a discernible influence on contemporary jihadist terrorism. Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the architect of 9/11, was a member of Muslim Brotherhood. More prominently still, Abdullah Azzam, a Palestinian Muslim Brotherhood preacher, was a mentor to al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.”

About Hamas from the council on foreign relations.
"Hamas describes itself as "one of the wings of the Muslim Brother[hood].") As a single Arabic word rather than an acronym, "Hamas" means "zeal." Its avowed purpose is "liberating Palestine" from the Jew "oppressors," whose presence in the Middle East it considers an affront to Muslims' rightful sovereignty in the land of the Prophet Mohammad. The organization's individual co-founders were Ahmed Yassin and Abdel Aziz al Rantisi. "

Hey folks,  Whose side do you think the "moderate" Muslims will choose to be on when the push comes to shove?   A Muslim by any other name must still be considered a Muslim.  Unless over a period of time we see a definete separation and willingness on the part of the "moderate" group to have nothing to do with and thus resists and fights the radical terrorist group.    A long period of time, one week won't get it.

Until then, congress.should stay home and get out of the way of the intelligence folks discovering and preventing fatal attacks at airports.

Unfair to Paris

Oh no, Paris Hilton will not be able to get in front of cameras while in jail.   A double sentence.  She will be suffering from CWCS (Celebrity Without Camera Syndrome) when she gets out.

"Paying a debt to society should not be an element of her celebrity,"

"Her occupation is publicity, but no one should profit in jail."

Oh, I got the item wrong.  The hollywood media hawks will be suffering from the syndrome of who to hound this week.  Wake up celebrities, the media needs another scandal to cover.   This is summer time folks and the media needs a break, or is it that the public needs a break from the gossip and the scandals and who cares about who broke up with who.  There really is more important things in this world than Paris Hilton, the Idol, Oprah, The View, and Rosie.

Try reading about The Fairness Doctrine and how it would effect the entire political discourse.  Read up on The Fair Tax Plan and how it would totally transform the entire tax structure in this country.   Read some of the good news that's happening in Iraq.  Google Michael Yon, go to his web site and read an actual account on the arrest of General Hamid, a corrupt Iraq police officer.  Read up on the biographies of each of the presidential wanna bees, from both parties.  Get familiar with that comprehensive immigration bill and then compare the commentaries from both sides and make an informed decision about the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens living in this country freely using our social systems.

The media will be swarming all around Paris when she gets out and will want to know every detail of her detention, but the media does not take the time to keep you informed on the really important issues facing this country.

You'll have to do that yourself.  As far as Hilton is concerned.  Who cares?
